{"product_id":"handsome-long-barrelled-full-stocked-flintlock-holster-pistol","title":"Handsome Long Barrelled Full Stocked Flintlock Holster Pistol","description":"\u003ch3\u003eEarly 18th Century 0.69\" Calibre Continental Flintlock Holster Pistol With Steel Mounts And Horn Forend Cap\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA very large and imposing full stocked flintlock pistol with a dark rich colouration to the walnut which is nicely carved along the forend, along the ramrod pipes, around the trigger guard and around the barrel tang.  There is a large horn cap at the muzzle which is also carved and has a rich aged patina.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOther than a few bruises and two chips around the steel buttcap the stock is in lovely condition.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe steelwork is in good condition too with a bright cleaned finish that has no aged patina and there are a couple of areas that shows light corrosion.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe mainspring is strong and the action is crisp in both half and full position with the frizen spring all working correctly.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe wooden ramrod looks age worn but has snapped just behind the first ramrod pipe.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe lock is unsigned and only has a simple double line engraved border, which looks quite military in its styling.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA handsome early flintlock holster pistol.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBarrel length 36cm, Overall length 54cm.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003eThis antique pistol is considered obsolete and non functioning, and is sold as a collectable ornamental item.
