19th Century Belgian Ebony Handled 7mm Pocket Revolver Signed V Collette Liege.
A quality pocket pinfire revolver by the Belgian maker Victor Collette of Liege. With a crisp cross hatched pattern across much of the metalwork and a carved 2 piece ebony grip (one of which has a repaired crack).
The barrel and cylinder are blued. One one side of the octagonal section of the barrel is stamped Acier Fondu (French for cast steel), and on the other is the makers name V Collette Liege.
There is also a Crowned T Inspection Stamp here and on the cylinder, along with the pre 1893 Liege Proof Mark.
The single and double actions on this piece are crisp and everything cycles as it should.
Victor Collette had premises at 60 Quay, St. Leonard, Liege and was active between 1836 and 1909.
