Mid 19th Century English Underhammer Percussion Cap Pepperbox Revolver
A great example of a J R Cooper Patent percussion cap pepperbox revolver.
The bright steel body and frame with foliate and border engraving and unadorned barrel cluster in a dark finish.
The whole piece retains all of its original colouration and there is no sign of rust or pitting.
The 2 piece wooden grip is likewise in great shape with no shrinkage and just a couple of bruises.
The mainspring is strong and the action is crisp with the barrel cluster revolving correctly.
A cracking piece.
Barrel length 8.5cm, overall 18.5cm.
