19th Century Pair of Continental Percussion Cap Rifled Pocket Pistols
A stunning set of long barreled fruit wood gripped percussion pocket pistols in great condition.
With crisp, simple and elegant border engraving to the body and foliate spray design to the hidden trigger.
They have foresighted damascus barrels with heavy rifling.
The mainsprings are strong and the actions are super crisp with the hidden triggers snapping shut once the action has been released.
The fruit wood one piece grips are flared at the butt and has scallop designed hinged compartments for spare caps.
Both barrels unscrew cleanly.
Strangely one pistol is clearly set for half and full position, whilst the other only has full position. Given their condition, I can only assume that they were designed that way. Odd, I know!
One barrel is marked, it looks as though it was a botched attempt at releasing an over tightened barrel at some point.
An unusual and beautiful set of pistols.
Barrel lengths 13.5cm, overall lengths 25.5cm.
This antique pistol is considered obsolete and non functioning, and is sold as a collectable item. This product is available for purchase in the UK without a license
