18th Century English Brass Barreled Flintlock Holster Pistol
Full stocked in walnut with a brass barrel, ramrod pipes and trigger guard (with a decorative acorn finial). The lock is engraved with a simple floral decoration.
The wooden ramrod is a later replacement, the stock is missing some wood along the barrel and is cracked in a few places.
The metalwork is in good condition, but the lock is missing its sear spring and mainspring.
This piece is unsigned and has the early 1702 type private London Proof Marks.
A grand old piece of firearms history that is looking forward to the right person to bring it back to its former glory.
