19th Century 0.6" Calibre Belgian Made Flintlock Officers Pistol With Brass Lock
A half stocked early 19th century Officers flintlock holster pistol with a large calibre octagonal to round 16cm barrel, brass lockplate, ramrod pipe, trigger guard and buttplate.
Other than the Liege Proof Mark on the barrel, there are no other identification stamps or makers name, but the brass parts have some floral engraving.
All metal parts have a nice aged patina from the salt and pepper finish on the barrel to the dull gold look of the brass work.
The half stocked walnut stock feels a little coarse grained in places, but overall is in great shape with a fine and deep cut cross hatched grip.
The mainspring is good and although not crisp it has a good action to it.
Overall a really good looking flintlock pistol.
