19th Century British Cavalry Percussion Cap Pistol Originally Flintlock from the reign of George III
Regulation 9" barrel, brass furniture and captive ramrod.
Georgian service markings to the lock, this was originally a flintlock pistol.
Unusual conversion to a percussion cap with a heavy hammer and centrally drilled nipple.
Old well repaired crack to the grip and the front ramrod pipe is missing.
Main spring works well, it holds at half position, but not at full position.
Overall length 38cm, barrel length 23cm
