19th Century Finely Made Belgian Rifled Pocket Pistol
A beautiful piece with many quality features, such as a damascus rifled barrel, fine engraving to the body, one piece carved ebony grip with a silver (white metal) hinged compartment for holding percussion caps. This has a hunting scene stamped on it of a hounds head surrounded by a hunting horn, sword and other items.
The mainspring is strong and the action is crisp in both half and full position.
The hidden trigger drops down and operates as it should.
There is a small silver (white metal) shield shaped escutcheon set in to the shoulder of the grip.
The barrel unscrews and the Liege Proof Mark is clearly stamped.
The nipple has been replaced and there is a hairline crack in the ebony grip.
A cracking piece that I am surprised has no signature.
Barrel length 4cm, overall length 13.5cm.
This antique pistol is considered obsolete and non functioning, and is sold as a collectable item. This product is available for purchase in the UK without a license
