Mid 19th Century U.S. Percussion Cap Pepperbox Revolver Of 0.32" Calibre By Allen, Thurber & Co, Worcester.
A good sized Ethan Allen double action only percussion cap pepperbox revolver with a 6 shot 0.32" calibre, 3.5" long barrel, bar hammer and nipple shield.
The barrel cluster is stamped "Allen, Thurber & Co" and "Worcester".
Apart from the standard foliate engraving to the body and nipple shield there is no other decoration.
The steelwork is in good condition with an attractive dark "gun metal grey" patina.
The mainspring is good and the action is crisp and seems to cycle correctly.
The two piece walnut grip is in good condition with much of its varnish remaining. It is bruised but there are no splits.
