A decorative mid 18th Century French flintlock overcoat pistol.
Full stocked with ornate steel mounts, lockplate signed in script (unfortunately indistinct to me!). Long spur butt cap.
Repair to main body.
Action clicks nicely into half and full position. Main spring has gone, but sear spring is strong. Replacement ramrod.
Very tactile piece.
Overall length 23cm, barrell length 10cm.
