Action has no half position, and works well at full, although main spring is not strong. Signed in script Griffin on one side and London on the other. Clear London proof marks. Cannon barrel unscrews. Grip is of one piece construction, securely fitted, but is a little tired.
Joseph Griffin opened his business in 1739 in Bond Street, London and went into partnership with Tow in 1773 to form the well known gun makers Griffin and Tow.
