19th Century Belgian Pair Of Half Stocked Rifled Target/Dueling Pistols.
Featuring a heavy damascus octagonal rifled and sighted barrels.
The back action locks and hammers are finely engraved, as is the steel buttcap.
The engraved trigger guard and the barrel wedge surrounds are silver (white metal).
Along the top flat of the barrel is the word DAMAS in gold (yellow metal). This is very worn and only just legible.
The half stocks are carved at the forend and grip and have fish scale hatching to the grip.
The stock of one of the pistols has several areas that have been repaired over time.
Both actions are crisp in half and full positions and the mainsprings are strong.
