Mid 19th Century English 0.38" Calibre Webley Bentley Revolver
Quite a large example of this very English percussion cap revolver dating from around the 1850's to 1860's.
The steelwork is in good condition with only a couple of areas showing some minor pitting, other than that the surface is clean and smooth with small amounts of original bluing and browning remaining.
The frame has fine foliate engraving extending from around the hammer, trigger guard and down the back of the grip to the buttcap.
The cylinder is smooth except for some edge decoration, Birmingham Proof Marks and the chambers numbered 1-5.
The octagonal barrel is also smooth, except for decoration around the muzzle and Birmingham Proof Marks.
The mainspring is strong and the double action only system operates smoothly.
The two piece walnut grip is finely hatched and is in good condition with no splits or cracks.
A great looking English revolver in good condition.
