19th Century English Percussion Cap Pistol Approximate Calibre 0.75"
A superbly crisp pistol with foliate sunburst and stand of arms engraving to the lock, barrel tang and trigger guard.
This pistol also features brass tipped wooden ramrod, damascus barrel, dolphin engraved hammer, and woodwork that is in great condition.
The mainspring is very strong and I think this may have led to this pistols only real fault, in that it doesn't catch in half position and only occasionally in full position. Strangely on such a clean piece the inset escutcheon has been damaged.
Overall a stunning pistol of great proportions in terrific condition.
