19th Century Boxlock Percussion Cap Pocket Pistol by Child of London

This pistol features a fluted barrel, folding trigger and fine engraving overall.

The finely hatched grip has a silver (white metal) diamond shaped escutcheon containing Arabic inscription and a star burst engraved butt cap, also in silver (white metal).

The main spring is strong and the action works well in half and full position.  Fold down trigger drops into place as it should.

Action engraved Child on one side and London on the other.

William Child was a London Gunmaker based at 280 Strand from 1826-1850.

A really good example of a quality Pocket Pistol.

Barrel length 3.5cm, overall length 13cm.

This antique pistol is considered obsolete and non functioning, and is sold as a collectable item. This product is available for purchase in the UK without a license.
