A nice example with much of its original nickel plating remaining (approx 60%).
With foliate and line engraving across the cylinder, frame and barrel.
The cylinder is stamped with the Liege Proof Marks and Star over S inspection mark. It is also engraved "The Guardian * American Model of 1878".
The frame is stamped with the serial number 25 and the barrel also has the Star S inspection mark.
The 2 piece grip is in great condition made of Gutta Percha and has beautiful foliate moulding.
The mainspring is good and the mechanism is crisp in single and double action.
The folding trigger is smooth and the ejector rod works as it should.
The large loading gate spring is crisp and operates correctly.
