A Pair Of 19th Century Model Or Desk Ships Carronades

On their pleasantly aged wood and brass slide mounts with iron barrels stamped 12 (probably indicating 12 Pounders).

By loosening a nut on the underside of the mounts, the guns can be slid forward and backwards and swivelled to the left and right.

The mounts are stamped with the date 1848.
